The artists that make the group New Boyz, Ben J born Earl Benjamin, and Legacy, born Dominic Thomas has truly stepped on the scene and trampled the teen spirit by storm. Often labeled the new-aged geeks, some people question why these dudes come out with tight jeans on, but what has to be understood is everyone is entitled to express themselves as they envision it. For those who don’t know, these two young men had a drive to be successful but often the youth go down the wrong path to make their dreams come true. For the New Boyz they chose a different hustle that every young person should implement. While they were in high school they sold candy, making 100 a day. When they had enough money they purchased their 1^st mic and mixer which cost 200.00. This is when the New Boyz was inspired to begin creating beats for themselves. In total The New Boyz spent 500 dollars which contributed to making their 1^st single “You’re a jerk” which was an instant hit. Recently releasing their album entitled, Skinny Jeans & A Mic, the New Boyz are rapidly climbing their way to the top of the charts. The New Boyz are very welcoming and pleasant young men who took the time out after doing their opening act for Chris Brown’s Fan Appreciation Tour last night in Miami to speak with Mechelle, correspondent for Scoop The Magazine. Here is what they had to say:

Scoop: With the game plan that you used to get started, how does it feel to be a great impact on the youth today?

New Boyz- It feels good, we didn’t expect it, but knew it was gonna come with the package.

Scoop: A lot of groups have come in together and eventually separated; how does your group differ from the rest?

New Boyz- I don’t know, we just do what we have to do.

Scoop: Other than rocking the skinny jeans, are there any fashion labels that ya’ll love to wear?

Legacy rocking Millions, Urban Clothing Wear


New Boyz We don’t have any labels that we rock in particular but it will be Millions. We go through so many stores and shop and whatever is hot is hot.

Scoop: Are there any artists that you want to collab with in the future?

New Boyz We want to collab with everybody including rock bands, but we have something coming up with Dream, Lil Wayne and Drake.

Scoop: Ya’ll have a lot of fans and majorities of course are teen’s females. Are any of you dating?

New Boyz- Music and we definitely want to get into movies, acting and eventually start a clothing line.
